Success Story: Nick
In his words
“After finishing my studies at Maryville University I wanted to get my career started like every other graduate in today’s world, but I really didn’t know where to start and was feeling a bit lost. I proceeded to research (google) some tips and tricks on how I may be able to jump-start my career and improve my appearance professionally, but the information I found was all over the place and ended up being confusing (not so helpful in the long run). This is where Nick Henning’s Career Launch University came in to play. The information that Nick has crafted into these lessons is extremely coherent and detailed, but not over-complicated in the slightest. These lessons allowed me to understand and implement concepts that helped me better present and prepare myself for professional development. While actively utilizing these concepts within interviews, career fairs, and other social networking events I was able to grow as a budding professional in more ways than I ever thought possible. Thanks to Nick Henning and his Career Launch University I am extremely excited to take these first steps as a young professional in my new role as a Cloud Support Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS).” – Nick R.
How the course change his trajectory
Nick was a computer technician (entry-level role) at a tiny business that had a total of 3 employees. He built up his job search prowess, interview skills, and confidence to go after what he wanted through taking the course and the one-on-one sessions. Nick decided not to aim small and was determined to prove to himself that he had what it takes to work among some of the best, so he pursued a role with the 3rd most prominent company globally. As a result of his hard work, he beat out thousands of other applicants to secure his position while not having a degree from a top 100 university or a 4.0 GPA.
Imagine the number of doors that have opened for future opportunities with having experience working for Amazon in an emerging space versus an unrecognizable small business. Plus, his overall income prospect accelerated as he increases his income by nearly 400%. Think about the impact that will have on the quality of his life over the next 10-15 years.
